When to Apply LDT?

24-48 hours prior to surgery.
24-36 hours post-op, if no complications, with physician approval
You can always work proximal = between the scar and the main node.
But you don't know for sure if the flow crosses the scar until you use Manual Lymphatic Mapping (MLM)
Do not stretch open a fresh scar with your pressure
Scar is considered mature at six weeks (you can apply some pressure)
Spend 90% of time working on other areas. Vacuum effect.
